Come and paint your own piece of kintsugi around my kitchen table in Reading, with a glass of wine and good company. Every other Wednesday, from 7pm to 9pm.
Kintsugi is about finding the beauty in the cracks. These evenings are a chance to slow down, talk, laugh at our wobbly lines and leave with something you made yourself. I keep them small, six people at most, so there is time for everyone.

What happens on the night
- A glass of wine and a little about kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending with gold, and what it means to me.
- You choose your piece and your colours, then paint your base layers.
- Once it is dry, you trace your cracks in gold, one line at a time.
- I wrap your finished piece for you to take home.
All the crafts are supplied: the ceramic piece, paints, brushes, gold and aprons. So is the wine, with soft drinks for anyone who prefers them.

Questions about the workshops
None at all. I will show you each step, from the first layer of colour to the last line of gold. Most people are surprised by what they make.
Just yourself. Every piece, paint, brush and apron is supplied, and so is the wine. There are soft drinks too if you would rather not drink.
No problem at all. Non-alcoholic drinks are served too. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, let me know before the workshop, in the order notes when you book or by email, and I will make sure there is something for you.

Yes. The paint is dry to the touch by the end of the evening, and I will wrap your piece so it travels safely. Give it a couple of days before you handle it much.
Yes, for a birthday, a hen do or a team evening. Six people fill the table. Get in touch with a few dates that suit you.
Let me know at least 48 hours before and I will move your seat to another evening. Or send a friend in your place.
Of course. Book a seat for the date you have in mind, and add a note at checkout with the name of the person coming.
The evenings are for adults, 18 and over, as wine is served.
